Suvarnagram, a thousand years old ancient urban settlement, was one of the capitals and river ports of East Bengal. Ancient Suvarnagram was established by Local Hindu king Danujmadhob Doshoroth Dev in the 13th century A.D. consisting of 52 buildings of both sides of the road.
Recently we had a visit to the Panam City from current capital city – Dhaka, which is about 30miles journey.
It took around 1hour to reach our destination with a little traffic on highway.
The entrance fee of Panam City is 15BDT/Person, which is protected by archaeological department of Bangladesh.
This abandoned wealthy city is now looks like a ghost city but still those stylish buildings reminds us the Hindu era, thanks to the Archaeological Department of Bangladesh to protect this ancient city.
